Synopsis

WHEN DOES A MOTHER CEASE IN FORGIVING HER OWN DAUGHTER?
Anak tells the endearing story of a mother and daughter who are torn by hate and pride, turning their once sweet relationship into an endless and scathing turmoil.

Helmed by award wining director Mel Chionglo, this highly emotional tale begins when the hard headed Sandra (Dina Bonnevie) defies her mother to pursue her passionate yet ill fated relationship with the luckless Alfred (Christopher de Leon). As she sets out in search of a way to reconcile herself with her mother, Sandra realizes that it is already too late to ask for forgiveness.

Also featured in the brilliant ensemble are: Celia Rodriguez who notably played as Sandra's mother. Johny Wilson, Lloyd Samartino and Raquel Villavicencio. Anak unfolds in a skillfull interweaving of character arcs that builds towards a heart-wrenching climax.
