Polypropylene Disc Casings
Our discs are shipped in high quality clarified polypropylene plastic casings to ensure that you receive your discs in good condition. These polypropylene casings are the thinnest and lightest hard shell case available in the market and provide the most advance disc packaging technology available today. The locking system suspends and seals discs safely from the outside environment (i.e. water, soil, dust, link, and static) and provides heat, chemical and moisture resistance with high clarity. These casings also provide complete stress-free disc protection, even during the disc release which minimizes disc wear and tear.

Date-Stamped Protected Discs
In January 2007, Filipino Movie Rentals started the practice of marking a date stamp on all new discs that were added to our inventory. The purpose of this is to identify new, protected discs shipped with the Polypropylene casings. These date-stamped, protected discs are also subjected to thorough inspection upon return of each disc to ensure that the next person to rent the disc will receive a disc that is playable and in good condition.

Commercial Disc Cleaning Machines
Filipino Movie Rentals employs commercial disc cleaning machines for every disc that are returned. These discs are also subjected to a thorough inspection before shipment to the next member.

DVD Formats
About 98% of our movies are in DVD formats. The remaining discs that are in VCD are movies that were not available in DVD format. In the past year, Filipino Movie Rentals have started phasing out VCDs and have only carried movies in DVD format.

Discs-to-Member Ratio
Filipino Movie Rentals maintains an standard disc-to-member ratio to ensure that there are enough copies of each title with the number of requests from our members. These discs-to-member ratio varies, depending on the title and demand of each movie. Our staff is constantly monitoring these ratio to ensure that it doesn’t fall short affecting the number of new members that we get on a daily basis.
