While this film is not considered to be among Lino Brocka's masterpieces, it is landmark nonetheless because of its honest and sympathetic portrayal of gay men, the first film of its kind in the Philippines. Comedian Dolphy, in a rare dramatic role, delivers a tour de force performance as Coring in this unforgettable story.
