Synopsis
The real world starts with Joanna, an 18 year-old Filipina-American who has gone astray, getting herself involved in typical L.A. ghetto life.

Despite being smart and somewhat driven and ambitious, Joanna falls as victim to her innocence trapped in the struggle to survive in a highly cutthroat environment.

Her antics finally send her off yo Manila where she finds the constant need to get out of. Using the internet as her medium to get in touch with her friends in L.A. especially her boyfriend who has impregnated her, Joanna starts to go through days whereher constant search for chance seems to hang on thread.
